The fast weight loss diet is a strategy some individuals use to get rid of weight fast. While fasting is generally seen as a temporary way to lose weight, some individuals like to fast because it gives them results quicker than other traditional dieting methods. The drawback is you’re very likely to gain the weight back very quickly, in addition to other safety concerns like eating enough calories during the day to support organ and brain health.

Fasting

How does fasting work? We’ll admit that it’s one of the easiest ways to diet because it simply means you don’t eat food – at all. And, on the flip side, while it’s one of the hardest ones to follow for a long period of time (not that we’re recommending it) but it will work for the short-term.

The fast weight loss diet is a good way to also shed the body of harmful toxins. There are quite a few fasting supplements that you can take throughout your fasting period that will assist your body in shedding the weight and removing harmful toxins from your body.

Types of Fasting

There are a variety of fasting techniques available. Some of the more popular fasting options include:

  • Drinking nothing but water. It may sound torturous (and it is), but this fasting technique depends solely on water throughout the course of a day. Some individuals supplement water with Psyllium husk (fiber) that helps to not only hydrate the body, but also to push out waste that has become stuck to the inside walls of the colon.
  • Juice fasting. Commonly, if it isn’t water you’re consuming, it is juice. You’ll find juices like cranberry or Acai as typical fasting juices since they are packed with antioxidants and healthy nutrients.
  • Raw foods only. This fasting technique is much safer because you can consume whole products that are generally fiber-rich, including: veggies, beans, and fruits. This type of “fasting” lasts for several days and is one of the fast weight loss diet techniques that will work well for long-term use.
